Over the years I've worked on many hours of film and video projects. Sadly, I'm not as good at keeping them. 3/4", VHS, film, files get lost

during moves, misplaced, I never got a copy or just forgotten about totally. But I do have some so here they are. Sorry for the shitty quality.

Kouch Karaoke was the brain storm of the gentleman on the left, Harvey Wharfield. He told me about it, I asked him what he wanted

me to do, he said, "Everything." And that's how we did a show. To read the complete history of Kouch Karaoke click here.

A friend if mine, Fred Henderson, brewed a lethal concoction he called beer so we took a day

and shot a couple of commercials for his product, Henderbeer,

A few years ago I even had my own TV show. The producers were a little hesitant pretty much the entire time I was shooting but,

they made the deal so had to stick with it. They made it certain that I couldn't be controversial, profane, insulting, intimidating,

too risky, no innuendo, obviously no sex or violence, bad language was strictly prohibited and my humor couldn't be too out there.

Basically, they wanted show with Chris Zell without the burden of dealing with Chris Zell.

So I shot the pilot and turned it in. And they were not happy. Even at my most inoffensive I was deemed too offensive.

We argued back and forth for some time before they said they would air it (because contractually they had to) but that

they were taking over the editing. I agreed because I didn't want to give the money back and this is what we were left with.

I was watching a true crime television show when they played a 911 call of a guy who said he had a gun in his mouth.

I took that potentially deadly situation and came up with this.

A few years ago, out of the blue, a gentleman called me and had some very interesting news. He'd been doing genealogy for thirty years

or so and after all these years he found me and told me we were first cousins. Of course, being me, I had to bust his ball and says,

"Sure, it probably took you a month to find Johannes Zellius who took part in the first Crusade and was Knighted by Godfrey of Bouillon,

King of Jerusalem in 1099 but over thirty years to find a guy who, at times, lived a few states away."

Even with that beginning he and I have become great friends and I've learned quite a bit about my Zell history. Including the fact

that T. Ellwood Zell published many volumes of the Zell Encyclopedia. He said that over the years many companies have had the

name Zell. Not all of them from our branch of the family but a few of them have been including T. Ellwood's publishing empire

and the Zell Porcelain Works in the city of Zell (which we founded) in Germany.

One day I was checking out various Zell businesses and decided to make some commercials for them because I could.

Of course, not everyone on our side of the Zell tree was a human of upstanding qualities. One person stands out in particular and that

man would be the grandfather to my cousin and I (although as I've pointed out earlier, this was a surprise to both of us until just a few

years ago. He name was Charley and he was a rough and tumble type from what I was told. And that was about it. There was very little documentation about Charley but what I had I turned into a song with my good friend and stellar musician, Mark Hennessey.

Well, he turned it into a good song. I just wrote a little history of the man and he did the rest.

Here are some live versions of The Legend Of Charley Z. done by Mark Hennessey and friends.

In 2007 I was approached by the manager/producer of the band Mog, Harvey Wharfield, to edit a video for the band. Here it is.

A very good friend of mine asked me to do a humorous promo for the cable access station he works at.

They sometimes receive programs that come in at odd times so they need filler to drop in. So who better than to do filler than me.

I wrote this video for a friends 70th birthday. The video was done by James Mudge and the voice over by Jeff Maingot

As I find more or actually shoot some new stuff I'll add it. I didn't do the one below but I sure do like it.
